FREEFALL is a low-tech, high-concept dance-theater company headed by Artistic Co-Directors Lynn Brown and Lynn Marie Ruse. FREEFALL crafts full evening abstract narratives that suggest emotional vulnerability and gritty resilience. Formal in approach but potent in impact, FREEFALL utilizes partnering, spoken text, sound scores and unique environments to evoke worlds which are both familiar and strange.

    Hi! I can’t figure this site out. Who is it? We “Craned” together, but I cannot figure out who is making this. Very interesting site though.

      Hi Will, this is the site of FREEFALL, the company that Lynn Marie and I have together. You “Craned” with Lynn Marie, and I have been reaping the reward of observing a weekly rehearsal of the work. (She works more often, I just see it once a week). Right now, a project I conceived as a bit of a throwaway has gained importance because of a delay in our new website. Very soon, our new design will have a small window where I will daily post a Move of the Day….right now its front and center, but that will change. The move of the day is an attempt to create a short movement of some significance to the day…a journal of sorts to capture the action (or inaction) in a day. Whatever is handy. I just posted Lynn Marie for the first time today, but am sure she will come back another time. I’m going to post a guest once every week. Would you like to participate? Anyone working on Crane is an instant fan of mine. If you want to put together a short (2 second to 25 second) video of you or a friend doing a “Move of the day”, I’d be happy to post it. Just let me know…my planning this week was off, but the next “guest” will be day 42..then 49, 56…ypu get the idea. Thanks for the comment.
